Designed for our 7136-4 Diesel. This reel has just the right amount of muscle to fight the biggest and brightest fish you will hook. The beauty of this reel starts with it's dimensions. Tall and narrow this reel will act like a large arbor reel when filled with backing. The narrow design prevents line from piling up on one side, A common problem with wide spey reels. Machined of aircraft grade aluminum and harmonically tuned to sound like a fly reel should!!!

Red Truck Rocks 12/6/2013 6:03 pm For me fishing is a passion which takes me back to my childhood days. Days, when fishing was simple, attainable and above all fun. When it comes to spey fishing I belong to the old school. Being an ardent collector of Red Truck Diesel Products, I tried their Spey fly reel two months back. This reel has all it takes to get hold of that steel with the elegance of the old click-pawl drag. It swings triumphantly, adding joy to my fly fishing. Moreover it is highly durable and anti-corrosion. Now I cannot think of fly fishing without this reel. My trust in the Red Diesel Products has been further strengthened.
Crome One Reel 7/9/2013 10:06 am Thinking “big” is synonymous with opting for the Red Truck Diesel Crome Fly Reel. There can be nothing more satisfying than hooking and landing a bright Steelhead and as someone who has been in the game for quite some time, I have had the luck to experience the various shades of fly fishing. The Red Truck Diesel fly reel is the perfect match for Skagit and Scandi fly line systems that come with a load of backing and this is what makes it appropriate for a large river ventures. I was able to make the most out of this reel for the first time I used it and this could be attributed to the excellent drag this reel offered. With a bigger coverage, I could target the larger and the more aggressive Steelhead and the challenge enriched my fly fishing experience. And I must say that I made the smartest investment in quality. The beautiful-looking reel is corrosion, scratch, and impact resistant and it comes with a promise of durability. Oh and did I mention the sound when the reel sings!
The Right Reel 7/8/2013 11:14 am I'm pretty new to Spey casting, but I'm loving it. I got my first two-hander last season...a 13' 6" #7, which my buddy said is a great all-around rod. When it came to the reel, he just said to use my saltwater reel, but that was too clunky and didn't look the part. I read a lot of posts and looked at a ton of fly reel options. Then I found this one. It looked the way a Spey reel should look and had enough space to hold my Skagit line, so I bought it. I didn't know much about Red Truck, but let me say the reel is just right. The weight is perfect to balance my rod and it sounds great when a fish runs. I caught my first steelhead last year on it. It's well-built and classic and I'd recommend it to anyone on the hunt for a true Spey reel.
