When it comes to catching steelhead on the swing, there's no denying that many casts lay ahead.  For those steelhead anglers who agree with us that enjoying the cast is just as important as celebrating the catch, we offer the British Columbia Swing Spey rod.  Thoughtfully balanced and efficient, you'll find a smile on your face with every cast, whether Scandi or Skagit.  While other rod brands might only tout performance, Leland Rod Co. is after the big picture as it relates to casting.  Our Swing rod allows the caster to effectively control the distance of each cast, from short to far.  Our rod's stability provides exceptional accuracy and a smooth presentation of your offering, all while remaining incredibly efficient.  Put simply this rod is a joy to cast.  Beyond the casting and catching function, we offer classic cosmetics as we believe a quality fly rod should be visually pleasing.  Take for instance our blank color (Silt Grey) and our attention to thread wraps, both speaking to the heart of a true fly angler.  What's more, our darkened nickle silver hardware matches handsomely with our rich cocobolo wood insert.  It's the little things that make a big difference.

Wow! 11/7/2013 2:42 pm I've been casting two handed fly rods for some time. I've cast them all from Sage's to Burkies. I got a chance to cast this rod at the Golden Gate Ponds. I ran into one of the Leland guys. He had it all dialed in and just handed me to the rod to try. It was easily the smoothest casting two hander I've ever cast. He had a Scandi head on it and again, it was like butter to cast. I'm sure a Skagit would be easy to cast, but I'm more inclined now to cast the Scandi head pretty much only from now on. It was that cool. I highly recommend this rod to anyone searching for the "one" two-hander. I'm going to upgrade some of my rods to this model.
