Leland Florida Keys Tarpon Fly Line, 12wt

The Silver King sits at the very top of the pile of fish we fly anglers love to chase. It deservedly holds this station due to its size, power and fighting prowess. Just casting to a tarpon will get your blood pumping. You keep wondering, “What’s going to happen if I do hook it?”

One thing is for sure, if you can’t get your fly to the mark with accuracy when the time comes…nothing cool will result. For this reason, we at Leland set out to design the best tarpon fly line available. We had to boil tarpon fishing down to the basics and determine what attributes are most important for success.

Our Leland Florida Keys Tarpon fly line fits the bill. With just the right amount of head length, our fly line is comfortable both at quick-loading short casts at surprise fish, yet can still be fired off at distance for a follow up shot, if necessary. Our front taper can turn over a heavy-gage leader and fly with authority, but won’t result in a slap on the water. Our fly line’s rear taper is extended for a smoother transition to our easy-shooting running line and our super-low stretch core makes for not only efficient transfer of energy when casting…it also provides solid hook ups.

To simplify, our hard work in designing the best tarpon fly line allows you to efficiently, effortlessly and accurately put the right fly one the mark when it really counts. You’ll focus your efforts on the fish and not your gear…even while your heart is pounding in your head.

If you want the ultimate in smooth casts, we recommend you match up this great fly line with what we consider to be the best tarpon fly rod available…our Leland Rod Co. Florida Keys Tarpon fly rod.

Nice Line 3/6/2014 12:51 pm My experience with fly lines till date has not been very pleasant. Though I tried a number of promising fly lines none gave me the results required. Cursory browsing online and I found that several of Leland products including its Florida Keys Tarpon Fly Line, 12wt have got good reviews. So I placed an order for this fly line. Four trips now, and I am quite impressed by this fly line. It undoubtedly is one of the best tapers available on the market today. It has a good length and excellent weight which makes it easy to cast. The taper is crafted in such a way that I could very easily try several techniques in water and gain good results always. More over the line does not pile up or break down easily. Apart from these qualities the line is not heavy on my pocket. So overall I am more than happy with this Leland fly line and now I look forward to trying more of their fishing equipment.
Tarpon Line 3/6/2014 12:36 pm Getting the right kind of fly line has always been a challenge for me. Till date a lot of time and money has been spent by me in finding the right line, which will make fishing easier for me. But this rarely happened. Leland being a brand name, I thought I should give it a try and I brought their Tarpon fly line. This undoubtedly is one of the best fly lines in the market. The length and weight of the line is right, it does not pile and is stable in the air. Moreover casting has never been so easy before. Being a heavy line, it becomes easier to cast in longer distances and with heavier flies.
